A little more information on Thermoduct
The problem with warm air ducting
Warm air heating systems can loose up to 40% of the heaters output in the ducting system. This wasted heat promotes condensation, heats up food stuffs and supplies stored near the duct, and results in poor heater performance, especially on longer ducting runs. It should be noted that at full output most 4 kW heaters will heat the duct to a surface temperature of over 100°C.
Thermoduct - the solution
Thermoduct warm air ducting insulation, has a wipe clean, heavy duty outer cover, with a 25mm thick, 3M™Thinsulate™ inner core.
Available in 75cm lengths that slip over a variety of ducting diameters, Thermoduct is hydrophobic (won’t absorb water), hard wearing and with an R4 insulation rating is capable of reducing the outer duct temperature from +100°C to +30°C.
Adding Thermoduct insulation adds less than 10% to the cost of a modern warm air heating system and can improve the heaters actual performance by up to 50%.

Thermoduct - the comparison
To test the performance of Thermoduct in a ‘real world’ scenario KETO LTD connected 10m of the premier brand of aluminium and kraft paper warm air ducting to a Webasto 3500 diesel heater. The air temperature was monitored as it left the heater and again as it exited the duct through a Keto universal vent. The results were amazing, as Thermoduct increased the output of the heater by up to 100%, WOW!!.
It should also be noted that the outside temperature of the ducting now only reaches 35°C, which is far safer than many conventional systems.
